Kohli and Sam Konstas came face to face and started arguing, after which umpire Michael Gough and Khawaja had to intervene to calm the dispute.
Melbourne: Virat Kohli's conduct came under fire during the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne on Thursday after he clashed shoulders with teenage debutant Sam Konstas but the Australian batsman remained unimpressed by the incident.
Konstas had taken on the Indian bowlers well on the opening day but Kohli was booed at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) after he collided with the 19-year-old Konstas at the end of the 10th over when the latter came onto the pitch to speak to his opening partner Usman Khawaja.
Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting, covering the match for host broadcaster Seven Network, said veteran batsman Kohli was clearly the culprit.
